DETAILS SEMINAR & SITE PLANNING
Proposed Sauna

Univ. of Michigan
WINTER2007 [Mick Kennedy]

Architectural details function as our immediate and direct point of contact with buildings. In various scales they may be understood as loci of design intention, construction and use. The depth of these considerations reverberates into discussions of materiality, craft and assembly processes. This seminar explored the detail as an architectural fragment; a parading of the whole and independant artifact.

TRAVEL POSTER
Univ. of Michigan
SPRING2007
[Toyo Ito, Alvar Aalto, Le Corbusier]

This project used iconic windows to acknowledge
popular destinations of the architect traveler. I think it is important to look past the picture and see these things in the context they stand within.
