TALL TALES OF THE 3RD COAST & 2ND CITYThesis
University of Michigan
2008

Narratives keep cultures generated. Spaces can allow for this sharing of stories, memories and experiences. This is not the entire objective of my iteration but a dimension to them. The artificats from the site include: sunken ships (like dinosaur bones) Lighthouses for their utilitarian need yet reflects little modern innovation & narratives. These artifacts reveal other systems within their natural and cultural processes.

Its fresh drinking water, terrifying waves, flying
Dutchman, underground monsters, warplane
graveyard, flippant storms, gangsters, cribs, cagey
birdcages, abandoned lighthouses, sailor’s lingo,
exhaustive color palette, plumbing, rumors, catwalks, buoyant buoys, possibilities, knots, rusted lifeboats, conspiracies, speakeasies, anarchists and charm.
